In a statement, the municipality reported that the project included repaving the road, paving two access roads to small villages, building a rainwater drainage network, and installing road signs.

“This investment will improve levels of well-being, accessibility and road safety, and in this specific case […] constitutes a factor in the development of an inland and peripheral area” of the municipality of Silves, concludes the statement from the municipality.
