In a statement, the Alentejo Regional Coordination and Development Commission (CCDR) indicated that the notice for the so-called Territorial-Based Incentive System is already in the application phase and is taking place in stages, ending in 2025, namely March 30, July 31st and December 2nd.
“With an indicative allocation of 10 million euros, co-financed by the ERDF [European Regional Development Fund] at a maximum rate of 60%, this notice aims to stimulate the diversification of the regional production base, reinforcing employment and the resilience of local economies”.
According to the Alentejo CCDR, projects to create micro and small businesses are eligible for support, targeting those with less than three years of activity on the date of submission of the application.
They can also try to support expansion or modernisation projects for micro and small companies, in which case it is only applicable to companies with at least three years of activity.
This aid, highlighted the agency, covers “initiatives such as increased production, integration into value chains, expansion of business networks or projects that result in economies of scale”.
The notice is intended “exclusively for micro and small companies that wish to make investments in the NUTS [Nomenclature of Territorial Units for Statistical Purposes] II – Alentejo region, with the location of the beneficiary’s establishment being the determining criterion”.
