According to forecasts, released by the Automóvel Club de Portugal (ACP), the price of diesel should increase by 1.5 cents and that of petrol by 0.5 cents.

The average price of a litre of diesel in Portugal costs 1,596 euros on Friday (20 December), while petrol was worth 1,714 euros.

"If the forecasts for next week are confirmed, the average price of simple diesel should be €1.611/l while that of regular 95 petrol should be €1.719/l", writes the same source.
