Tonight you will be able to see the first meteor shower of the year with the Quadrantids, which reach their peak of activity on the 3rd and 4th of January.

It is worth noting that the Quadrantids are active between December 28th and January 12th but, during their 'peak', this phenomenon can allow us to see between 80 and 100 meteors per hour - assuming that favourable meteorological conditions are in place for observation.
The EarthSky website notes that the Quadrantids can be observed mainly in the northern hemisphere and lasts only about six hours.
