The program for the requalification of public buildings will now have new financing with “a predictable allocation of 4,946,500 euros”, revealed the office of the Minister of Labour, Solidarity and Social Security.

The funding from the Public Building Intervention Program is to be used in public buildings with face-to-face service. Public Administration but also municipal companies owned exclusively by municipalities that provide public services can apply for this support.

“The funding will allow compliance with a legal imperative provided for in the Accessibility Legal Regime, at a time when the Government is also reviewing the aforementioned regime”, highlights the government in a statement sent to Lusa.

The evaluation, decision and monitoring of applications will be the responsibility of the National Rehabilitation Institute.
