The information was provided by Revitalgarve, which emphasises that the brand's objectives are to “aggregate under a global image the highest quality food products that identify the Algarve Mediterranean Diet, based on the Algarve Local Producers Network (RPLA); to promote the consumption of products linked to the brand, enhancing their quality and genuineness, with a view to increasing the level of adherence to the Mediterranean Diet; and increase the value of the agri-food sector in the region (primary production and agri-food processing), contributing to boosting the local economy, creating jobs and increasing adherence to the Mediterranean Diet”.

Revitalgarve also plans to create a website and launch a promotional campaign for the brand, with a view to giving visibility to participating Algarve producers and products. Its implementation is scheduled for this year.

Revitalgarve is a project financed by the Recovery and Resilience Plan that operates in the Algarve region. Its main objective is the implementation of methodologies that favour integrated approaches to strengthening a territorial food system, based on a Network of Local Producers in the Algarve and the local consumption of products of regional origin.
