According to the tourism promotion association Visitazores: “The Visitazores association welcomes the guarantee of Eurowings' operation in the Azores, consolidating what has been a promotion strategy in the most relevant international issuing markets for the region, in this case, Germany”, says the association.

The Ponta Delgada - Dusseldorf connection will start on 10 May, but the association does not reveal the frequency of the flight connection, nor for what period of time it will take place.

Quoted in the note, the president of Visit Azores, Luís Miguel Capdeville Botelho, considers that the arrival of Eurowings in the region “is another great achievement for the Azores and for Visitazores”.
