“We will have a gradual drop in temperature values, especially the minimum, and this drop will continue until Wednesday, the 15th. Depending a little on the location, today the drop will be between 04 and 08 degrees Celsius. Temperatures will fall a little more in the coastal region because the inland regions have been lower in recent days,” she said.
According to the meteorologist at the Portuguese Institute of the Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA), today's forecast is for partly cloudy or clear skies, falling temperatures, frost forming mainly inland and generally weak winds, blowing more intensely in the highlands.
“Minimum temperatures of -2 degrees Celsius are forecast for today in Bragança and Guarda, 02 degrees in Vila Real, 06 degrees in Viana do Castelo, 09 degrees in Porto and Lisbon and 08 degrees in Faro,” he said.
For Tuesday, according to Patrícia Gomes, a new drop in the minimum is expected, with lower values in the interior regions. Temperatures are expected for Bragança and Guarda at -4 degrees, Vila Real at -1, Lisbon and Viana do Castelo at 04 and Évora at 02 degrees”.
As for maximum temperatures, the meteorologist said that today they will fluctuate between 14 and 18 degrees in coastal regions and between 7 and 11 degrees inland.
“On Tuesday, maximum temperatures will vary between 12 and 15 degrees on the coast and inland they will not exceed 10 degrees,” he said.
From Wednesday onwards, temperatures are expected to vary, with highs in some places and lows in others.
“There is no forecast of rain. Everything indicates that at least until the end of the week we will have partly cloudy or clear skies, generally weak winds, frost especially, in inland regions and a stabilisation of temperatures from Wednesday onwards”, he said.
