The districts of Évora, Setúbal, Santarém, Lisbon, Leiria and Portalegre will be under a yellow warning between 12pm and 9pm today and again between 12pm and 6pm on Friday.

The yellow rain warning for Beja, Castelo, Branco and Coimbra will be in effect between 12pm and 6pm on Friday.

The IPMA also placed the district of Faro under yellow warning due to the forecast of heavy showers between midnight and 6am on Friday and because of the rough seas, with a forecast of southeast waves measuring 2 to 2.5 metres, between 3am and 12 pm on Friday.

The IPMA predicts periods of very cloudy skies on the continent today, conditions favorable to the occurrence of showers and thunderstorms, especially in the central and southern regions, and suspended dust.

The forecast also indicates generally weak winds, moderate to strong in the highlands, a small rise in the minimum temperature and a drop in the maximum temperature.

Minimum temperatures will range between 11 degrees Celsius (in Guarda) and 18 (in Portalegre) and maximum temperatures between 21 (in Guarda) and 30 (in Braga).

On Friday, periods of rain or showers accompanied by thunderstorms are expected across the entire mainland, a scenario that should last at least until Sunday.
