When you fill up, you should now pay €1.657 per litre of regular diesel and €1.766 per litre of regular 95 petrol, taking into account the average prices charged at the pumps on Monday, published by the Directorate-General for Energy and Geology (DGEG).

These values ​​already take into account the discounts applied by petrol stations and the review of temporary tax measures to help mitigate the increase in fuel prices.

Prices may still change to take into account the closing of Brent oil prices and the behaviour of the foreign exchange market. But also because the final prices result from the average of the prices charged by all gas stations. Furthermore, the prices charged to the end consumer may vary depending on the gas station.

This week, diesel rose 4.7 cents and petrol 2.6 cents, a performance below market expectations, which pointed to a rise of 5.5 cents for diesel and three cents for gasoline, and which led the Executive to admit returning to resort to a correction mechanism to, as occurred at the peak of inflation, mitigate the increase in prices.
