In a statement, the Almargem Association says that the objective is to give the population the opportunity to get to know and appreciate Alagoas Brancas, a place rich in biodiversity, and the way in which wetlands are fundamental to the future of the planet and human life.

Activities begin at 10 am, with bird watching and collection and identification of macroinvertebrates, followed in the afternoon by a collective effort to control and remove invasive plants.
Registration is free, but mandatory, and can be done until 12pm on Friday.
