One of the products in question is SVR CBD Ampoule Resist, whose distributor in Portugal is Cosveritas Portugal, which, because it has this substance in its composition, "is not in compliance".
In another information circular, Infarmed determines, for the same reason, the immediate suspension of the commercialisation and withdrawal from the national market of all batches of several Origin products from the Naturasor brand, based in Spain.
In question are the cosmetics CBD Hot Cream, CBD Cold Cream, Natural Oil Blend CBD 10%, Natural Oil Blend CBD 20%, Natural Oil Blend CBD 30% and Origin - Natural Oil Blend 15% CBD + Melatonin.
After the inspection action, Infarmed also ordered the immediate suspension of the sale of the products BB Cream CBD Light, BB Cream CBD Medium, CBD Mascara and CBD Lipstick No. 3 from the brand Dermacol, a company based in the Czech Republic, for containing cannabidiol, a substance that can be obtained through extracts from the leaves of cannabis plants.
"The inclusion of CBD or other cannabinoids, which exist naturally in the cannabis plant, is not permitted, as they are obtained through the preparation of extracts or tinctures of cannabis or its resin", says Infarmed.
It should be noted that the use of substances/preparations obtained from plant seeds with a THC content of ≤0.2%, such as cannabis seed oil, from varieties registered in the Common Catalogue of Varieties of Agricultural Species, is exempt from this prohibition.
The National Authority for Medicines and Health Products calls on entities that own these products to withdraw them from the market and advises, for any additional information regarding these products, to contact the distributor.
