Block category and to lead each team in the Multi.Block and Double.Block categories at the 2025 World Ice Art Championships.

The World Ice Art Championships will take place in Alaska in extreme conditions that can surpass -25°C, from 14 February to 2 March, bringing together the world’s top ice sculptors to compete in individual, duo, and team categories with an open theme.

Rodrigo Ferreira, who first competed in 2012, will once again be the only Portuguese participant at this prestigious event and will compete in all categories, leading the two group categories.

The sculptor began his career in sand and ice sculpture in 2003 and has participated in numerous international events. His recent highlight includes Art.Below.Zero in Amsterdam, where he recreated the Crystal Palace, Paleis Voor Volksvlijt.

"I return to the World Championships with great joy. It’s more than just a competition—it’s an opportunity to share my passion for ice sculpture and reconnect with this incredible artistic community that I deeply admire and am proud to be a part of." Rodrigo.

The results of Rodrigo’s work and participation, along with that of other artists, are highly anticipated, promising to immerse the audience in the crystalline world of ice sculpture.
