Despite the seasonal rain storms, followers of their ‘Pop-Ups’ have been on the increase. “Our charity shops are also becoming popular. Not only with the tourists, but also our own regulars, such a good stock to choose from. Clothing is really quite popular, especially when you want time to look and browse. Why not try it on?”

Talking of which, Team APAA are always need new spaces. “We’re always on the lookout for cheerful centrally placed cafés or bars, where there is a good atmosphere and space to set up a few tables. Where people can browse, have a drink and a bite to eat.” Anita their ‘Pop-Up’ Shop Manager, has been busy scouring around for special items for their venues. “We like to have a mix’n match, there are incredible bargains to be had. Wonderful jewellery, hand-made. Apart from our cookies and Jams, pickles and marmalades, we do have dining services and elegant crystal glassware, fit to grace any table!” Sadly, Anita has just lost one of her seven furry friends. As his name implies ‘Sunny’, was special. Now with his other canine friends. Woof Sunny.

If, by any chance there is a professional registered, certified contabilista, who is ‘au fait’ with charity accounting, please contact APAA. Jenny explains: “Our Association is doing very well, despite the lack of an accountant. We found out accidentally, that our lady had become unwell. Unfortunately no one told us. Jackie our treasurer is trying to keep everything under control but it isn’t easy with our sort of business.” Help from a pro needed here! Jenny is unloading her van from a vet-run. Including her furry canine pal 15-yr old Jimmy. “He’s been given the all-clear.” She smiles gratefully. “Just a bit of TLC and some rest for a golden oldie.” The Group Emporium’s charity auctions on Facebook have been growing in popularity too, some very special bargains. Their next link will be posted in the coming week or so. “We want to attract more members and followers and give them something a little different.” Got it. “We need the SNiP funding more than ever now, with the increase of feral cats.”
