Headliners Steve Aoki, Alok, and Timmy Trumpet will lead what is being called “the strongest lineup ever presented in Portugal”, according to Tiago Castelo Branco, executive director of promoter MOT - Memories of Tomorrow.
A highlight of the second day will be the Dutch project This is Sefa, blending electronic music with classical and rock.
The 12th edition of Somnii, the 11th in Figueira da Foz, introduces a new stage concept aimed at “celebrating the sunset”. The 55-metre-wide structure will be set up at the northern jetty of the commercial port, facing the beach and ocean — a first for the festival. While the venue size remains unchanged, new infrastructure and expanded services will enhance accessibility, particularly for people with reduced mobility.
Manuel Domingues, city councillor, announced that the Portuguese Air Force Day will take place in the city during the festival and will be integrated into Somnii’s programming.
In addition, renowned Portuguese DJ Pete Tha Zouk, celebrating 31 years in the industry, will return to Somnii after his 2014 performance, with a set list that will be chosen live based on audience response.
“I just want people to be happy during my set” he concluded. “I can mix current hits for younger fans while also playing my classics for those who followed me from the beginning of my career.”
