According to a press release sent to the newsroom, the park has been focused on renewing and modernising its services, including the opening of a new dining area starting in June: the Restaurant Grill, where grilled meats are the main specialty.
The park’s water attractions, the true soul of the park, are always a highlight. The most recent ones remain popular, such as the Boomerang, which offers an exciting ride in a tube, adorned with light effects and a high-speed swing. The Race, with its six timed lanes promises fun challenges for competition lovers. The Big Fall, a unique experience in southern Portugal, is the park’s "capsule-ride."
And, of course, the timeless classics. The Black Hole gets visitors to challenge the darkness, the Tropical Paradise creates a fantasy world for children, The Big Wave invites visitors to experience a sensation of zero gravity, the Disco River, the Banzai offers the fastest two-person race, and let's not forget the well-deserved break at the olympic Laguna pool. These are just some of the water attractions that fill a day with pure fun.
In addition to the rides, the popular Cabanas offer an exclusive experience for groups of 4 to 10 people, equipped with a fridge, safe, water, and special discounts at the park's restaurants and shops. Slide & Splash continues to offer a variety of services, including a massage center & fish spa, waterproof temporary tattoos, photography service, as well as the seven dining spots, a convenience/souvenir shop.
Campaigns In addition to the 10% entrance discount on online purchases and at official sales points, the park reopens with its traditional discount campaign for residents of the Algarve, available during the off-season. This year transport service is back, with buses from Albufeira three times a week, with a break in all August. In celebration of Children’s Day on 1 June, the park offers one free entrance with the purchase of a normal or senior ticket, available exclusively at the park’s ticket office.
Commitment to Sustainability Slide & Splash continues to invest in sustainable and renewable solutions to ensure a greener future. The park has implemented a series of measures to reduce its environmental impact, such as using recyclable and reusable packaging and efficiently managing waste.
For over a decade, the park has had two water treatment stations. One reuses the water from filter cleaning for use in toilets and gardens, while the other uses reverse osmosis technology to recycle water and reuse it for filling the pools.
In 2023, the park took a significant step by inaugurating a self-consumption photovoltaic plant, made up of 1,520 photovoltaic modules with an installed power of 828 kWp. This system covers about 65% of the park’s energy needs.
Additionally, an ambitious project is under development to capture and desalinate water from the Arade River estuary, with the goal of channeling it to the park to supply the water attractions, ensuring the park’s water self-sufficiency and further reducing dependence on the public network.
