Promoted by Roller Lagos Clube de Patinagem with support from the municipality, the event celebrates its 20th year anniversary, integrating the second stage of the European Track Series from World Skate Europe, the European track circuit with five stages.
On the first two days, in the morning until evening, there will be competitions with the school´s track as the stage, and on the third and final day, only one competition in the evening, the emblematic Avenida dos Descobrimentos and the surrounding roads will be a part of where registered skaters will pass through. Therefore, on 13 April, between 8h and 13h, traffic will be closed on this road (see the notice here).
Anticipating a challenging competition, international champions will be featured in the event. Regarding male skaters, Jhon Guzman (Spain), Vicenzo Maiorca (Italy), Ron Pucklitzsch (Germany), Cristian Scassellati (Italy), Martin Ferrie (France), Daniel Niero (Italy), Patxi Peula (Spain), Giovanni Trebouta (France), Julio Mirena (Paraguay), Giuseppe Bramente (Italy) and Elton de Souza (France).
Regarding the female athletes, it will feature Marine Lefeuvre (France), Haila Alvarez (France/Cuba), Manon Fraboulet (France), Marie Dupuy (France), Mathilde Pedronno (France), Edda Paluzzi (Italy), Alicia Mcbride (USA), Aura Quintana (Colombia), and Kelly Delgado (Colombia).
The Portuguese athletes will also have a strong presence, with Miguel Bravo (Roller Lagos), Marco Lira, Afonso Silva, and Jéssica Rodrigues (all three from CDR Prazeres).
With a new record of participation, the organisation predicts another compelling event with renowned athletes to skate through the city´s streets and reaffirming Lagos as an excellent destination for the practice and promotion of the sport.
