The operation, which represents a milestone in the Asian company's internationalisation strategy, was brokered by real estate consultancy Savills, representing Panattoni Iberia, the developer of the logistics park where the factory will be installed.

The new industrial space will occupy around 12,000 square metres (m2) and will be dedicated to the production of carbon fiber components for wind turbine blades, reinforcing the presence of companies linked to renewable energies in the north of the country, according to a report by idealista.

"This is the first time Aosheng has established a presence outside of China. We believe this facility will enable us to reduce delivery times for our European customers and strengthen our competitiveness in the wind energy market," said Johnny Xu, CEO of Aosheng.

Panattoni Park Valongo, located next to the A41 and a few kilometres from the A4, about 25 minutes from Porto, is a new generation logistics infrastructure, certified with the BREEAM “Very Good” environmental seal. The park can house up to 75,000 m2 of warehouses and is currently half full.

According to Isabel Rocha, head of Savills, this installation is yet another sign of the attractiveness of the North region for international investors. "It is with great satisfaction that we see that this part of the country continues to attract large companies, which seek modern and sustainable logistics solutions", says the executive.
