At very high risk are the districts of Lisbon, Santarém, Setúbal, Beja and Faro, Madeira archipelago and Terceira island (central group of the Azores).
IPMA also placed the districts of Viana do Castelo, Braga, Porto, Aveiro, Vila Real, Bragança, Guarda, Viseu, Coimbra, Leiria, Castelo Branco, Portalegre and Évora and the islands of São Miguel, Faial and Flores (Azores) at high risk of exposure to UV radiation.
For regions with very high risk, the IPMA advises the use of sunglasses with UV filter, hat, 't-shirt', parasol, sunscreen and avoid exposing children to the sun.
