According to the Portuguese Institute of the Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA), the districts of Porto, Faro, Setúbal, Viana do Castelo, Lisbon, Leiria, Beja, Aveiro, Coimbra and Braga will be under the warning until 12:00 today.

The districts of Guarda and Castelo Branco are also under yellow warning until 6pm today due to snowfall in the highest points of Serra da Estrela, gradually lowering the elevation to 1,200 meters.

The IPMA issued an orange warning for the western group of the Azores (Flores and Corvo) due to maritime unrest between 06:00 on Tuesday (07:00 in Lisbon) and 00:00 (01:00 in Lisbon) on Wednesday.

The islands of Flores and Corvo will be under yellow warning due to strong sea agitation between 00:00 (01:00 in Lisbon) and 06:00 on Tuesday (07:00 in Lisbon) and between 00:00 (01:00 in Lisbon) and 09:00 on Wednesday (10:00 in Lisbon).

Also due to strong sea agitation, the central (São Jorge, Faial, Pico, Graciosa and Terceira) and eastern (São Miguel and Santa Maria) groups will be under yellow warning between 06:00 on Tuesday (07:00 in Lisbon) and 09:00 on Wednesday (10:00 in Lisbon) and between 15:00 on Tuesday (16:00 in Lisbon) and 06:00 on Wednesday (07:00 in Lisbon), respectively.

The western and eastern groups will also be under yellow warning due to the sometimes heavy rain, which may be accompanied by thunder, until 12pm on Tuesday (1pm in Lisbon).

The IPMA also issued a yellow warning of strong winds for the western group between 03:00 (04:00 in Lisbon) and 21:00 on Tuesday (22:00 in Lisbon), for the eastern group between 00:00 (01:00 in Lisbon) and 18:00 on Tuesday (19:00 in Lisbon) and central group between 06:00 (07:00 in Lisbon) and 21:00 on Tuesday (22:00 in Lisbon).
