A nationwide operation saw the authority inspect 91 bakeries and cake shops, after which it instituted 25 administrative offenses, temporarily closed down five establishments and completely closed down one.

The objective of the operation was to "verify compliance with the rules established for the activity of bakeries and cake shops with their own manufacture, especially in terms of licensing, designation and labelling, as well as hygiene and food safety, in order to guarantee consumer protection”.
