This position was held by António Costa at a press conference in which he also stressed that these differentiated measures will be implemented without reducing their intensity.
"In the next Council of Ministers, we will naturally have the opportunity to assess, if the intention of the President of the Republic, is to extend the state of emergency," said the Prime Minister.
"Since the criteria is to have more than 240 people per 100,000 inhabitants in the last 14 days, the reality is very diverse for the 191 municipalities in these circumstances. We have municipalities that are just above 242, but we also have a county, which is the one with the highest incidence rate, which has 3,698 cases per 100,000 inhabitants in the last 14 days", justified the executive leader.
António Costa added that "it is necessary to adapt and adjust the measures to the specific gravity of the situation in these different municipalities."
They also should take the number of tests in account. Should be proportional to the total number of inhabitants in each municipality.
