This comes after the Netherlands became the latest country to suspend use of the Oxford-AstraZeneca coronavirus vaccine over concerns about possible side effects.
The Republic of Ireland earlier made a similar decision over reports of blood clotting. Denmark, Norway, Bulgaria, Iceland and Thailand have already halted their use of the AstraZeneca vaccine.
Portugal’s Directorate-General for Health and drugs watchdog Infarmed have said that the AstraZeneca vaccine can continue to be administered in Portugal and stressed that there is no evidence of a link between the vaccination and serious blood clotting events registered in other countries.
The two Portuguese entities point out that "so far there is no evidence that vaccination could be at the origin of these events".
Are they completely out of touch with reality? At least 7 other EU countries have stopped this deadly practice of giving out this toxic waste to its citizens.

The two Portuguese entities point out that "so far there is no evidence that vaccination could be at the origin of these events". Strange that blood clots have only been reported after the injection of the AstraZeneca vaccine but not with any of the other vaccines being used!

I am sure Portugal will be the last country to suspend since they are much better informed than the rest of Europe...

Destroying the credentials of a vaccine you don't even have supplies of without scientific foundation for political favour with the French and Germans is dissapointing. Vacinations will halt the disease, get the economy working - not political blustering to cover ones failure to order sufficient vaccines ...

Infarmed needs to get its act together, yesterday AstraZeneca was OK, today its not!

A suspicion must be enough to stop using a drug! We are talking about our lives. Those in Portugal who decide about banning Astra Zeneca vaccine are all already vaccinated with Pfizer BiONTec. There is a big difference between Astra Zeneca and Pfizer vaccine!
