Dorna also confirmed the American GP, taking place in Austin, USA, was moving from the 1st to the 3rd of October which forced it to postpone the Thailand GP for a week , which will be staged from 15th to 17th of October. The Argentine GP has still to be confirmed, at the Termas de Rio Hondo circuit, with Indonesia as an alternative venue.
There are 19 races confirmed for this year's MotoGP World Championship. Eight of them have already taken place, including the Spanish GP which was won by Portuguese Miguel Oliveira (KTM), in Catalonia (Spain). Miguel Oliveira occupies seventh place in the championship, with 74 points, 57 of the leader, Frenchman Fabio Quartararo (Yamaha). The next race of the World Motorcycling World Championship takes place next weekend in Assen, Netherlands.
