Regarding mainland Portugal, the joint epidemiological bulletin of the Directorate-General for Health and the National Institute of Health Doctor Ricardo Jorge, released today, reveals that the incidence rate (average of new cases per 100,000 inhabitants in the last 14 days) has dropped from 214 to 196.1.
The Rt - which estimates the number of secondary cases of infection resulting from a person carrying the virus - is currently 0.84 nationally and 0.83 in mainland Portugal.
On Monday it was at 0.85 nationally and 0.87 in mainland Portugal.
The Rt data and the incidence of new cases per 100,000 inhabitants within 14 days - indicators that make up the risk matrix for monitoring the pandemic - are updated by the health authorities on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
And we still get lies about vaccination rates one day 85% then another figure of 80%. So who is right. If we carn't get vaccination numbers right what chance do we have for of getting infection numbers rates right. Is that just number as well.?????

Assuming the figures are correct, I'm pleased to see Portugal is finally showing progress in something!
