I will start this review by saying I love pancakes. So to get a book with over 70 recipes to vary and satisfy my sweet tooth is great. Get ready to discover Sri Lankan hoppers, Keralan dosas, Japanese okonomiyaki, Vietnamese banh xeo. Not forgetting the fan favourite buttermilk and now buckwheat and blini.
Whether you enjoy them for breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner and dessert this book has it all. Some of the dishes include Chinese pancakes with duck and hoisin sauce, spicy Mexican hotcakes with avocado and chilli, classic English pikelets, as well as the popular French crepes Suzette.
The author Sue Quinn is a journalist specialising in food and cookery. She regularly contributes recipes and articles and is the author of food blog penandspoon.com.
There is a photo for each recipe which is a treat. I look forward to trying all of these recipes.
