Oliveira said that it had been "a complicated race", since starting "from 20th position brought many difficulties".
With all things considered he said that “finishing in the points is a positive result of the championship”, since 14th place is equivalent to two more points in the championship.
Despite this result Miguel Oliveira guaranteed that he is “far from being happy with the performance of these past two months” but he confessed that he was “motivated to start working on the 2022 bike next week”, in order to find “more consistency” that allows him to “fight for good positions in more races”.
The rider from Almada concluded the MotoGP World Championship in 14th place, with 94 points.
Throughout 2021 he added a win (in the Catalunya GP) and two second places (in the German GP and the Italian GP) as the best results of a year marked by five withdrawals due to crashes.
