"The current phase [of the pandemic] justifies the change in the disclosure pattern, with both daily reports being discontinued", adds the DGS in a statement.
The new format of the situation report will have “the number of confirmed cases and deaths in Portugal, accumulated over seven days, as well as the daily hospital occupation on the continent, with the respective weekly variation”.
Differentiated data by region and age on the number of cases, hospitalisations and deaths will also be released.
"The admissions will reflect the beds occupied with cases of Covid-19", also indicates the DGS.
Vaccination data will include starting, full and booster doses by age. Influenza vaccination data are no longer published in the situation report, which will be released together with the pandemic monitoring report.
"This data dissemination model will be adjusted whenever the epidemiological situation justifies it", emphasises the DGS.
