The tournament ran from 24 to 28 February and had a prize fund of €1,065.

24 bowlers from across the Algarve and UK competed in the competition and as usual a high standard of bowling was on display.

Following an initial round-robin stage the bowlers were streamed into two groups - one group continuing in the main tournament and the other in a subsidiary Shield won by Dave Smith.

The week ended with a very enjoyable drawn triples competition won by Ze Manuel, Jason Wright and Dave ‘Whitelegs’. The 2023 Tournament will run from 27th February to 3rd March and entry details will be available on the Club website (www.alvorbowlsclub.com).
