"As the players were leaving the field of play, it was reported that a boy was approached by a player from the visiting team. An investigation is ongoing, we have already requested the video footage from Everton and we will speak with witnesses to establish if there has been an offense ", revealed the Merseyside Police.
Cristiano Ronaldo apologised on Saturday, for having abruptly taken the phone from the fan's hand and for having thrown it violently to the ground, after the defeat (1-0) in Manchester United's visit to Everton.
“It is never easy to deal with emotions in difficult times like the ones we are going through. However, we must always be respectful, patient and set an example for all young people who like football”, reads a message form the footballer on social media.
In addition to the apology, Ronaldo invited the young Everton fan to watch a game at Old Trafford as a “sign of sportsmanship”.
Yet another over-paid egocentric spoilt brat!

Ronaldo should receive a severe punishment for this. High profile role models cannot set such an appalling example to children. However, as with most overpaid sportsmen, he will get a slap on the wrist. Totally disgusting.
