Tuesday, April 19 – Let’s Walk from Santa Margarida, Alte
A 2 hour fairly easy walk through a varied landscape with some great views which everyone can enjoy!
10.00am start – meet in the centre of Sta. Margarida at the cafe by the Mercearia Rosa. Drive to Alte and at the roundabout turn into the village and take the first road to the left. Follow the road up passing the Alte Hotel and continue on until you arrive at the village. We suggest parking soon after and walking up to the Mercearia which is just along on the left. Friday, April 22 – Let’s Walk from the Barragem do Arade
A moderate walk of nearly 3 hours through the hills and close to the Arade / Funcho lakes, really beautiful.
10.00am start – meet in the car park by the barragem. Drive to Silves, cross the bridge into town and then turn right. At the roundabout take the first exit and then follow the road towards Messines. After about 7km you turn to the left to the Arade barragem; follow the road for about 3km when you will see a smaller road to the left (there is a large single storey warehouse at the junction). Turn left and follow the road all the way up to the top of the barragem, turn left and just along you will find the carpark. Julie 965 753 033
