The Government and PS accepted the proposed amendment to the State Budget (OE2022) for 2022 that was presented by the Livre deputy, Rui Tavares.
Another proposal from Livre about carrying out a study on the impact of menstruation at work will also be included, according to the same newspaper.
The parties presented about 1,500 proposals for amendments to the OE2022, but most will not be accepted. According to Público, the Government has already accepted proposals from Livre, Bloco and Iniciativa Liberal (regarding the improvement of the Transparency Portal). The introduction of taxes on cryptocurrencies will only be evaluated in the OE proposal for 2023.
Thank you, great news. Next target to lower taxes on-how about lowering dental HYGIENE products to 6% tax as well? I mean, it seems counterproductive to tell Portuguese they´re pigs when it comes to dentist´s overall feedback, but who can afford 23%tax for DENTAL HYGIENE products?? FUNCTIONALLY we all need our own teeth until we kick the bucket, no? Or is DENTAL HYGIENE A LUXURY? It sure seems like it.

Great start, but why not eliminate VAT on all essential items including groceries.
