"The deadline for checking and communicating invoices, for the purposes of the 2024 IRS, has been extended by three days, with taxpayers being able to validate their invoices until the end of February 28th", said the Ministry of Finance.
The decision was published in a dispatch signed by the Secretary of State for Finance and published on the Finance Portal.
The Finance Department assumes that the "high number of accesses to the e-Invoice on the Finance Portal, which was recorded throughout yesterday and which continues to be seen today, due to the end of the legal deadline for verifying and validating invoices, caused constraints and occasional limitations on access".
Thus, "with the extension now decided, the invoice verification and communication functionality will remain available on the Finance Portal and the e-Fatura app until the end of February".
This extension, "has no effect on the deadlines for prior complaints of the amounts determined by the Tax Authority or for submitting the IRS model 3 declaration, which remain in place".
