“The distribution of vaccines will be carried out proportionally to the population of the different countries, with Portugal being responsible for around 2,700 doses, according to the availability possible at the time”, said the DGS.
According to the same source, the coordination of the National Vaccination Program, the Technical Commission on Vaccination of the DGS and the National Medicines Authority (Infarmed) are evaluating a vaccination strategy for the doses that may be made available to Portugal.
According to the DGS, the vaccine distribution operation is still being developed by the various Member States, which “will prioritise the countries most affected” by cases of infection by the Monkeypox virus.
