“Our proposal is the introduction of professional diesel, similar to what is happening with heavy passenger transporters and what the Spanish Government has done”, FPT president Carlos Ramos told Lusa.

The Government will extend until September the extraordinary support for fuel for taxis and passenger buses, reducing it from 30 to 20 cents per litre for diesel and keeping it at 30 cents for natural gas.

The Ministry of the Environment and Climate Action states that, “through the Environmental Fund, it renews, between July 1 and September 30, extraordinary and exceptional support to the public transport sector, including taxis and buses including those powered by natural gas”.
