The district of Faro and the south coast and mountainous
regions of the island of Madeira are today under an orange weather warning due
to the persistence of high maximum temperatures, according to the Portuguese
Institute of the Sea and the Atmosphere (IPMA).
The orange weather warning will be in effect until 6pm today
and will then drop to a yellow level warning until 6pm on Tuesday.
Thedistricts of Castelo Branco, Portalegre, Setúbal, Évora
and Beja until 18:00 today, will also be under a yellow weather warning due to
the heat.
