One of the real estate projects that had already been
planned for the site is Campo Novo, which includes the construction of offices,
shops and more than 200 apartments covering a total of 80,000 square metres
(m2) of construction. Now there is information about another project on the
site, with the Belgian property developer Atenor having purchased a plot of
land with more than 8,000 square metres (m2).
“The land, with an area of 8,373 m2, allows the
construction of a building with about 14,000 m2 of offices, 450 m2 of retail
and also parking. Very close to the Alvalade XXI stadium and the Campo Grande
university campus, the land has excellent accessibility and is integrated in
one of the most dynamic areas of the city of Lisbon”, says a statement from the
real estate consultant Cushman & Wakefield (C&W), responsible for
commercialisation of the project.
“At the heart of Atenor’s performance is the significant
technical quality and sustainability of all its projects”, adds the consultant,
noting that Atenor is developing another reference project for offices in
Portugal, WellBe, in Parque das Nações.
Cited in the note, Paulo Sarmento, Partner and Head of
Transactional Services at C&W Portugal, considers that the Portuguese
markets for occupancy and investment in offices continue to show signs of great
resilience, despite the current international context. “Developers like Atenor
are a guarantee of quality, longevity and sustainability – and the main
beneficiaries will be not only the future occupants, but also the city of
Lisbon itself”.
