“Driving under the influence of alcohol showed a significant
increase (+69.3%), but largely as a result of the sharp drop in the previous
year”, says the report by the National Road Safety Authority (ANSR) on 24-hour
accident rates.
According to the ANSR, during the first six months of the
year, 15,412 drivers were fined for driving under the influence of alcohol,
while in the same period of 2021, 9,103 infractions were recorded.
Driving under the influence of alcohol is the only offense
to register an increase in the first half of the year.
