According to data released by the National Institute of Statistics (INE), the median value calculated in the survey of bank evaluation in housing for the country as a whole fell by three euros to 1,414 euros per square meter.

“The median value of bank assessment was 1,414 euros in August, 3 euros less than that observed in the previous month”, adds the statistics office, noting that this decrease results “from the decrease in housing prices, with the monthly variation of apartments being slightly positive”.

The value rose consecutively for eleven months after stabilising in September, but it is necessary to go back to March 2020 to find a drop from the previous month.
