Asked if he does not believe that it is possible to maintain annual salary increases of 4.8% on average until 2026, as proposed by the Government, the head of state replied: “I don't know. Nobody knows. To be honest, nobody knows.” According to the President of the Republic, the proposals presented “at this moment, on this precise day of this precise month”, “are subject to condition”, because it is not known whether the situation will “get worse or not”.
