“They [renewable energies] are highly competitive, as this
energy crisis in Europe is demonstrating. And therefore, in the medium term, we
will have cheaper, more competitive energy”, said António Costa Silva.
Cheaper energy coming soon
The Minister of Economy has stated that Portugal will have,
in the medium term, cheaper and more competitive energy, noting that 60% of the
energy consumed in the country already comes from “highly competitive”
renewable sources.

Those lying Socialists should change their party's name and be known as Master Liars. They only fill up their own private pockets while driving Portugal further and further into poverty and misery. Why do the Portuguese still vote for those liars ????

Not strictly true about wind turbine blades, one company is already recycling them as others look to follow. Facts are facts and opinions as we know differ.

I just received notice from EDP that my energy cost will rise 120% from 1 January, to 43 cents per kwh.
Meanwhile, if I feed power into the grid they will pay me 3 cents per kwh.
So yes, some renewables (particularly solar) are now much cheaper. But we consumers are not getting the savings,

Still Portugal needs to import a large part of their electrical energy from Spain. Portugal looks "green" by closing the coal fired power plants, but isn't because they import electricity from coal fired plants in Spain.
I wonder when my electricity bill will o down significantly.
