In a statement, the CCPE says that the warehouse, "whose inauguration will take place in the last quarter of the year, allows increasing the factory's storage capacity from 12,000 to 22,000 pallets, now having an area of 22,000 square meters in this sector".

The new warehouse "allows for the reorganisation of the industrial unit and concentrates the storage of production in Azeitão, which makes it possible to optimize the operation and resources, with the reduction of truck movements to transport pallets and, consequently, the reduction of the carbon footprint ".

Coca-Cola Europacific Partners estimates a decrease of "65% per year, from 200,000 pallets transported to 71,000, which means an estimated reduction, compared to 2019 transport data, of 513 tons of C02".
