Starting in Coimbra, the competitors face the double passages through the stages of Lousã (12.03 km), Góis (19.33 km) and Arganil (18.72 km), passing through Mortágua (18.15 km), before the debut of the super special in Figueira da Foz, which replaces the one that usually took place in Coimbra.
Altogether, this first of three days of competition covers 120.59 kilometres.
After passing through the central region of the country, the competitors head, on Saturday and Sunday, to the north and to the sections of Vieira do Minho (26.61 km), Amarante (37.24 km) and Felgueiras (8.91 km) , before the popular super special in Lousada, on the Costilha track, ending the second day of the competition.
On Sunday, there will be the debut of the Paredes section, which precedes the first passage through the Fafe special (11.18 km) and the Cabeceiras de Basto stage (22.23 km).
The last special, a 'Power Stage' (with an award of 15 extra points for the five fastest), takes place again in Fafe.
As usual, the arrival of the competitors takes place on the scenic coastal road of Matosinhos, a few kilometres from the operational center of the rally, at Exponor.
