A market source told ECO that a litre of diesel, the most used fuel in Portugal, is expected to rise by four cents, and petrol will fall by one.

From Monday, when you go to fill up, you will have to pay 1,760 euros per liter of simple diesel and 1,862 euros per liter of simple 95 petrol, taking into account the average values practiced at the pumps on Mondays, published by the Directorate- General Energy and Geology (DGEG). You have to go back to November 14th of last year to find the price of diesel at higher values and to October 17th to find exactly the same price paid for a liter of petrol.
