With the outcome of the talks with the Portuguese coach, the club's chairman, Shahid Khan, expressed satisfaction: “I'm delighted to announce that we have a new contract with Marco Silva until 2025/26 and I'm confident that this news will inspire our players and fans, both immediately and in the coming seasons.”

Shahid Khan was enthusiastic about Marco Silva, to the point that he admitted as much: “I knew Marco represented everything we needed and more for our head coach when I met him in 2021.
