The Chamber has an esteemed history once welcoming Nelson Mandela to speak at an event of theirs in Lisbon just after he was made President of South Africa. Manuela Robinson indicated how tough it was to restart the chamber, as it had dropped off considerably over the Covid years. However, she added that it is a super exciting project and she's absolutely delighted to see many South African and Portuguese businesses and individuals sharing the community spirit and signing up to the chamber.

The intention with the Christmas Gala is to enjoy each other's company down on Vilamoura beach in a festive atmosphere with fun live music, dancing, great food and good solid camaraderie.
