According to the analysis, developed by ACAP - Associação Automóvel de Portugal, and reported by NM, five out of 10 people want a new car, 30% plan to buy a newer second hand car one and 20% a used car.
Regarding the type of vehicle, of those surveyed who said they wanted to buy a new vehicle, 70% wanted an electric or hybrid vehicle.
In turn, among those who want a pre-owned nearly new vehicle, 70% said they would opt for an electric or hybrid.
40% responded that they wanted to choose an electric or hybrid vehicle in the case of used vehicles.
The maximum amount that respondents are willing to pay for an electric vehicle was set at 28,550 euros.

That many people wanting to buy electric or hybrid? Clearly, many people still do not understand the long term costs of owning those.
