"73% of respondents always work in person, but only 29% prefer this model to a more flexible or completely remote one. There is a high generational contrast in the preference for in-person work, with only 17% of Portuguese people under 34 choosing this model, compared to 44% of respondents over 55 years old".
The reasons for the preference of the work model include reconciling work and personal life, which brings together the consensus of 38% of Portuguese people, as well as cost reduction (34%), improving health and well-being (29% ), and a reduction in transport time (29%).
"Building relationships with colleagues (13%), learning and development (10%), and sustainability (10%) are the least relevant motivations for respondents", it can also be read.
Usual use of complex language, quite frustrating to read.
However, perhaps it's time we started to turn towards reducing the need for these offices and creating more living, and liveable, spaces.
