The alert for the fire in a warehouse belonging to the company Papeis Vouga, in São Paio de Oleiros Lourosa, was given at around 9:00am.

Speaking to Lusa, the commander of the Lourosa Fire Department, Carlos Lamas, said that the fire caused one minor injury who was transported to Feira Hospital.

The commander also stated that, at around 10:30am, the fire was active, with the firefighters' main concern being to prevent the flames from spreading to other warehouses.
