At the end of the season, Sporting de Braga will sell Spanish striker Álvaro Djaló to Athletic Bilbao for 15 million euros, the team that is now fourth in Portugal's I Liga stated today.

“Sporting de Braga informs that it has reached an agreement with Athletic Bilbao (Spain) for the permanent transfer of the player Álvaro Djaló, for a maximum and potential consideration of 20.5 million, of which 15 million euros corresponds to the guaranteed consideration and the remaining 5.5 relates to bonuses for goals achieved,” according to the statement released by the O Minhotos.

Álvaro Djaló, 24, came up to the first team in 2022–2023 after joining Braga as a junior from Begõna, a Spanish team, and scoring five goals in 41 appearances. He has participated in 38 games this season and scored 14 goals.

The striker had a 20-million-euro termination clause in his contract, which will keep him at Sporting de Braga until June 30, 2027.

On their official website, the Basque club also revealed the agreement, stating that Álvaro Djaló would be associated with Athletic for five seasons, ending on June 30, 2029.
